Is the procedure painful? Steps are taken to make sure the procedures are as comfortable as possible. Although everyone's tolerance level is different, most clients agree permanent cosmetic procedures are far more comfortable than anticipated. Topical anesthetics are applied throughout the procedures to help minimize discomfort. Is Permanent Make-Up Safe? Yes. Pigments used for permanent cosmetics have been extensively tested. They have been used safely on literally millions of people. What is the Sterilization Process? Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed in accordance with OSHA and the CDC. All instruments are individually packaged and sterilized. The single use sterile needles and caps are disposed of following the completion of each procedure. How deep is the pigment deposited into the skin? The pigment is placed about one millimeter underneath the epidermis into the dermal layer of the skin. How long is the healing period? This depends on each individual. There may be some slight swelling and redness of the skin which will subside quickly. Following, a light crust will form after a few days. After the crust falls off, the pigment implanted will be 30-50% lighter. You will be scheduled for at least one follow-up visit to do any touch-up work and to ensure your procedure meets your expectations. |
